As the 2025/26 academic year begins to draw to a close, we’d like to take a moment to thank every teacher, school and partner who has been part the our Teachmate journey this year.
This year, our community grew to more than 400,000 teachers worldwide – a milestone we’re incredibly proud of and one that simply wouldn’t have been possible without your continued support, feedback and trust.
Here’s a look back at some of the highlights from the past academic year.
Awards & Recognition
This year, Teachmate was named EdTech Company of the Year at the 2026 Network for Education Excellence (nEdEx) School & Trust Leader Awards.
Our co-founder, Lee Parkinson (Mr P ICT), was awarded an MBE for services to education, while our CEO, Dr Jon Chippindall, was shortlisted for BESA Person of the Year.
We were also selected for Deloitte’s Trustworthy AI in Education Programme, recognising our commitment to safe and responsible AI in schools.
Making an Impact
We became Comic Relief’s Official Education Partner for Red Nose Day 2026.
This year also saw the launch of our University Partnerships Programme, inspired by our pioneering research partnership with The University of Manchester, which found that AI centred around Teachmate can enhance teacher development. Starting in September 2026, the programme will support trainee teachers across 15 participating universities, helping them develop the skills, confidence and critical thinking needed to use AI effectively in education from the very start of their careers.
We launched the Teachmate Advisory Group, bringing together leading experts in AI and education to help ensure the platform remains safe, ethical and aligned with best practice. We were also recognised in the RISE Digital Skills & AI Hub Impact Report for supporting more inclusive and personalised SEND provision.
A Growing Community
The Teachmate community reached 400,000 teachers worldwide, with over 2,300 schools now using Teachmate.
Teachers also surpassed 2 million reports written using our Report Writer, alongside the launch of our new Subjects Report Writer for secondary teachers.
In Wales, Teachmate was ranked among the top three AI tools used by teachers and school leaders in Estyn’s national report on AI in education.
New Product Launches
This year brought some of our biggest product launches yet.
We introduced our fully-customisable Worksheet Generator, launched image generation and high-quality images across tools and released Teachmate 2.0 – our biggest platform upgrade to date, featuring GDPR-compliant Open Chat and our new Leadership Suite.
And we’re not done yet.
